52 weeks of bodily bliss: week 25: The glue that binds

I was at COSTCO yesterday and I kept passing this lady shopping while on her cell phone talking clear and loud enough for anyone to understand the content. She was quite over weight; anywhere form 60-100 lbs easy on her approx 5’6 frame.  What caught my attention was, how young yet weary and unhealthy  she looked, leaning onto her cart, slouching forward while yapping.  Her hair, skin and body showed obvious signs of dis-ease.

With whomever she was talking, they were talking about a third, how old she looked etc, and along the lines of that. This was obviously a relationship based not on well being, or truth.  Rather, what kept the ties strong was  the mutual enabling of one another, of staying in an unhealthy place in their lives, physical and non-physical realms.

This week I want you to examine your 5 closest relationships and ask yourself WHAT they are based on.
  • Are they built on trust, if not, what?
  • Are they based on criticism, or construction?
  • Are they based on growth, or destruction?
  • Are they based on love, or fear?
  • Are they promoting your well-being, or your dis-ease?
  • Are they promoting you being in shape (inside and out), or are they feeding the comfort of settling into an effortless,  mediocre existence?
  • Are they supportive of your dreams (no matter how silly), or do they just tell you to 'skrew it' and loose belief?
What you find in each of these relationships and answers, do they surprise you, and are they what you WANT?

If so celebrate each of these relationships.  If not, what will you do to change for the better.
An amazing book that can help you open up and go within is

No matter what you find, stay in gratitude for it all.  For they all ARE contributing to your greater good, they all shape an important part of you.  Commit to a life of only putting yourself into circumstances/relationships, that serve the best in you, and never be afraid to do the work that it takes for you to keep on shining.

Have a fun week, go within, but go outside and keep moving--daily !!!!

All my love,
Monika
