Yogi

Ok here is a personal share.

I posted about  YOGI, the gas station attendant earlier this week, who made my day.  (see him on my #instagram http://instagram.com/p/pmFQWIAjKb/)
What a remarkable young man.  I interestingly, I met him last night, at a DIFFERENT gas station, one I never go to, but HAD to detour, as I was UNDER E !!!!!  Seriously....when will I learn.  But that is a whole different story.
I was SO surprised. It was late and I was on my way from running track for the first time (yup).  It brought great laughs and jokes to us, and when I showed him his picture, and told him I posted it on Facebook, he was SO excited.  Immediately, his other Indian friends, and fellow attendants at the gas stations, all gathered around us that, "#Yogi is now famous on Facebook...."  Wow.  My heart and spirit were churned at the sight, it was like a movie scene.  It made me feel humbled and so privileged to have lived the life I have so far all parts of it, and what it had shaped me into so far.

Well, I am not a Native to Canada ,I moved here some time ago and I KNOW what it is like to go somewhere you leap out to, because you HOPE and somewhere deep down, KNOW there is a chance for a BETTER LIFE.

Is it easy?  Not at all.
Is it simple?  Nope.
Is it full of challenges? Yes.
Is it always good? No.

There are so many questions and Yes/No's I could post here. But the point is, this young man and his friends, who work 7 days a week and 'dont have time for yoga' LOL ( I busted them) reminded me of the true value of humility, and what matters. The leap we take, and are willing to work for a better life, and while days, weeks, sometimes moths can go by, when nothing works out, when things are scary, dark and so on, there is a part of you who simply KNOWS.  THAT is the part of you that carries on.  The one despite all yoru crazy attempts to END and give up, wakes up, again and again.....

And you simply obey, you simply trust this part of you and carry on.   The triggers ARE part of your TEST.  The journey is part of your TEST, or the TEST is part of your journey.  How you take the tests eventually becomes your journey.  Will you give up?
Will you give in?
Will you stop?
Is there a cap on how many times?

Or will you continue your journey, the fight the battles?
Are you willing to lose a battle, or a hundres, so you ultimately win the WAR--the war of your old self, facing the one you are CALLED to become for the LIFE of YOUR DREAMS to be had.

Thanks for reading friends.  DO make friends with those crazy Indians at the gas stations, they are so much fun :) and teach us SO MUCH.
